What will it take…?

3rd Gay Men’s Health Summit
Thursday November 1 and Friday November 2, 2007
UBC Robson Square, 800 Robson St., Vancouver

What will it take? What will it take to lower HIV infections? What will it take to end stigma and discrimination? This year’s theme focuses on new ideas for stopping the cycle of HIV transmissions among gay men. What will it take?

Keynote speakers include gay health activists Bill Ryan from Montreal and Will Nutland from London, UK with Michael O’Shaughnessy, bio-scientist and founding Director of the BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS.

The BC Gay Men’s Summit is organized by the Community Based Research Centre in partnership with Gayway, AIDS Vancouver, and the BC Centre for Disease Control.

Funding for this event is being provided by the Public Health Agency of Canada, BC Ministry of Health, Province of BC and the Vancouver Foundation.

British Columbia’s first ever Gay Men’s Health Summit opened in Vancouver on World AIDS Day, December 1, 2005. Participants from across BC gathered for the three day conference to hear what’s current, consult on health promotion strategies and recommend a course of action.
